Also, Thursday is a big update. 2 new community maps will be released by valve (a little birdy has it that they are probably cp_redstone and either cp_fastlane or ctf_convoy). Also, the pyro achievement pack will be released.

And if you dont have TF2, this weekend is a free play weekend! Crikey! Cant wait!

*****OMGWTFBBQ UPDATE*****
Here are the full details: http://www.steampowered.com/pyro/?pw=presspreview

The two new maps are Fastlane and Turbine. And the shotty gets removed for the flare gun.

Firefox 3 download. No new posts Firefox 3 download.

The time is here.

Do it.

Most other "official" downloads are broken at the moment. (I had to keep trying for like 30 minutes or so.)

Battlefield Heroes Update No new posts Battlefield Heroes Update

There has been a new video released as a trailer/teaser for the upcoming game Battlefield Heroes. According to the website, it slated to be released this summer sometime...so within the next couple of months! For those who havent heard, its a FREE, cartoon game with matchmaking abilities. My guess is you will see ads in the game to pay for the development of it. Anyways, here is a link to the new teaser for the game:

The No-Charge Havok PC download is a binary-only bundle that includes all of the standard features and functionality of both the Havok™ Physics and Havok™ Animation products. Valve announces Steam Cloud No new posts Valve announces Steam Cloud

In a conference today at Valve headquarters in Seattle regarding Steam, Valve's online distribution platform, the company announced a new remote storage solution for data from games.

This free service, known as Steam Cloud, will extend the Steam service to allow you to save progress from games, options, keyboard bindings and possibly much more from your games on Steam.

There will be no limit to the storage you can use, and all data will be saved automatically to the servers. Even video replays and screenshots can be stored.

As you would expect, Valve's own offerings will be the first to support the Cloud system, including the Half-Life series, Counterstrike and Team Fortress 2. Left 4 Dead will support it from release.

For any developers out there, Steam Cloud will be available in the Steamworks tools.

FP Update No new posts FP Update

As most have noticed, the TF2 and CoD4 server were taken down...they just werent getting the traffic needed to keep them.

Two new section have been added to the forums. The first is a WoW section. The second, a political forum. There are a few rules, but nothing too bad. First, you have to request access in order to see the posts. This is so that people who dont want to see it dont have to. Also, by requesting access, you agree that its all left in that forum. No personal attacks are allowed and if we see it happening you will be warned. If it continues to happen, we will take away your access. Things will get heated in some threads...but absolutely no "your an idiot for thinking that" kind of things. It doesnt matter what you say, people arent going to magically change their thinking, remember that. So that being said...here is the group you need to request access to: http://www.frenchys-pit.com/forums/groupcp.php?g=3379 I will be approving people once we have a few dedicated people to watch over the threads and make sure they stay friendly.
